Annual report 2009
Dialog Semiconductor creates energy-efficient, integrated, mixed-signal circuits optimised for personal mobile, lighting & display and automotive applications. Its expertise lies in power management for audio, display processing and motor control. Dialog’s technology is key to enhancing the performance of hand-held devices and consumers’ multimedia experiences.
We began working with Dialog in 2006 when we were commissioned to update its brand and corporate identity. We were also asked to advise on developing both the content and presentation of the company’s annual report, as well as designing and producing its annual report in both English and German. As Dialog is the only UK registered Frankfurt listed company some of its requirements are unique, however, its principal need was not regulatory reporting but to tell its story to an international audience. Our brand research highlighted that Dialog is respected by its customers for the quality of its technology, its service and people. The new management team is highly regarded and the increased confidence within the business and its strategy needed to be communicated to its stakeholders.
Dialog has made great progress since 2006 which is reflected in its growing client list, industry awards and share price. The brief for the 2009 report was to show the increasing range of hand-held products using its technology that are so much in demand and a visual style that could be used across a range of corporate collateral from press ads and exhibition graphics to its annual report and website. Under the theme of “Making it happen!”, our proposal was to use vibrant, lifestyle images of consumers using products that use Dialog’s technology in different situations and show how this enriches our day-to-day lives.
We also produced a smart PDF of both the English and German reports to improve the online presentation and functionality.
