Smith & Nephew
Employee communications, M&A materials
When Smith & Nephew, one of the world’s leading medical devices companies, bought the Swiss company Plus Orthopedics in March 2007, it asked us to produce a communications document and website which set out the rationale and benefits of the merger, primarily for employees and customers.
We designed on and offline materials, to strict guidelines, in nine languages – including Greek, Chinese and Japanese – to an extremely tight timescale. We designed, produced the artwork and managed the print and deliveries on the printed materials, and designed and built the website.
Following the acquisition, we worked with Smith & Nephew throughout the 100-day integration period, producing employee communications such as monthly internal newsletters providing an update on the integration, and an online survey for employees to feed back to management on the integration process.
We were very proud to receive a Silver award for this project at the 2007/08 Mercury awards.
