Public consultation

The second round of public consultation for Sunderland Retail Park took place in the library located round the corner from the site on Monday 14 June. Approximately 70 people attended the event, which was hosted by members of the development team, including representatives from Mountview Securities, who own the site, the architects, planners, traffic consultants and both FD and 85FOUR.

The general feeling was positive with the vast majority of locals wanting the development to start on site as soon as possible. All comments made via the feedback forms and website have since been included in the revised SCI report and submitted as part of the amended planning application. Should all go according to plan, work should commence on site in early 2011 and the retail park should be complete towards the end of 2012.
