Rete Rinnovabile (RTR) is Italy’s largest generator of solar energy with over 60 solar plants across the country. We worked with RTR to develop its corporate identity upon its demerger from Terna (the Italian equivalent of the National Grid) and purchase by private equity firm Terra Firma,
It was key that the new identity was wholly distinct from Terna and positioned RTR as an independent business. After preforming a thorough review of the other key players in the energy, and specifically renewable energy, market in Italy we proposed a platform from which the identity could be based that would place RTR within its own, defined space amongst its peers.
The identity brings together the elements that are core to RTR’s buisness – sun and light and the idea of renewability/sustainability. A colour palette was selected to support this using fresh yellows, greens and blues. The identity has so far been rolled out across stationery and a holding website and will be further applied to the company’s new headquarters and full website as the year progresses.
