Chartis UK

Annual Report 2010

Chartis Insurance UK Limited (Chartis UK) is one of the UK’s top three business insurers with a track record of nearly 60 years serving clients and delivering product innovation. Formerly AIG UK Limited (AIG UK), the business changed its name on 1 December 2009.

We worked with AIG UK on its first annual report as a UK-registered private business last year (whereas before it had been a division of AIG Inc.), focusing on reemphasising the company’s financial strength, solid investment position and continuing excellence in meeting client needs in challenging market conditions, and continued to work with the company on it’s 2009 report following the switch to Chartis UK. Whilst launching the Chartis UK brand to a corporate audience was clearly a focal point for the 2009 report, 2010 was more about looking ahead at the future of the business, requiring extensive consultancy and copywriting support.

We continued to develop the overview and explanatory pieces of the report, covering its services, structure, vision and values, providing a snapshot of the business following a number of key management changes ahead of Chartis Inc.’s long term European strategy, in which Chartis UK will play a major role. We also included case studies which showcased  key aspects of the Chartis UK offer in risk mitigation, broker relationships, and the aviation sector. Despite being a private business, Chartis UK is keen to promote transparency and look to best practice for guidance in developing risk management content, and this continued to evolve in this year’s report as the company looks ahead to Solvency II.
